Position Background:  Created and implemented the business plan, provided the capital for initial funding, and manage all aspects of this national home entertainment media distributorship.  The company's central focus is to provide PC and Video game software merchandising programs for national and regional retail chains.  Assortments of game, productivity, and learning software are selected from over 1,200 titles based on the seasonal and category objectives of the retailer, and provided in merchandising displays and POP packaging to fit the selling environment of the retailer.

 

Retail Ecommerce:  Developed a retail ecommerce site (shopping cart) to display software selections and allow for purchase via multiple payment methods over the internet.  Linked brick and mortar sales to web presence through on-pack coupons, and from web site to retail chain sales through on-line coupons.

 

Inventory and Logistics Management:  Contract all warehousing, packing labor, inbound and outbound shipping, and merchandising display materials to support operations.  Manage inventories and coordinated workflow to meet retail chain orders.

 

Merchandising:  Integrate the retailer's merchandising requirements into various floor and shelf display alternatives to optimize point of purchase impact.  Result in vehicles for counter, floor, end cap, and false-bottom pallet display presentations with POP print variations to meet seasonal and promotional themes.

 

Marketing and Sales:  Create the seasonal catalogs and promotional materials for presentation to retail chain buyers.  Accounts opened to date include Sav-on, Rite Aid, Tuesday Morning, and Walgreens southern California districts,  as well as numerous small retail chains in southern California and Arizona.
